Abandoned Subway
Location
Access via Wounded Mutant choice in the sewers. There are two sets of encounters you can find here, depending if you've flooded the tunnels today. This resets at midnight.

BEFORE FLOODING

Resting (REM Timer+Etheric) | You find one of the abandoned subway benches, curl up, and flip on the REM timer. Haaaa… that was relaxing. Even the benches here are nicer. | Gain 30 HP |

Another figure emerges from a side tunnel and a third from a pile of nearby debris. All three descend on you with hatred in their sunken eyes. |
Only if you are wearing a full containment suit. If you lose: The forms tear into your containment suit, rending through plastic and tubing. One lands a vicious blow, shattering the faceplate of your helmet. They stop after destroying the suit and stare at you curiously, then wander off. You found one of: unlined pants, unlined vest or metallic powder |

- Where's the Vigilante? - Allows you to find the Vigilante's mask by digging in the dumpster
- Didn't I just kill you? - Learn that cutting them makes more Sewer Mutants
- What's going on? - Learn that the Subway is growing
- Who are you? - Suggestion that people "up top" are broken people
- Sorry, gotta run
- Charge him - Fight a Subway Dweller
- Leave him be

- Hit the button - Floods the subway until rollover, changing the available encounters
- Monitor the cameras - With Shining Glasses equipped adds an instance of the Spectral Damsel to the combat encounters
- Check train times - Gain 4 XP in Will
- Salvage some parts (only with salvaging tools) - Gain 2? of: frayed cable, shorted cable
- Leave it - Walk Away

Only with Will < 20 You take your time following the flooded trench. Even with the raw sewage, it's still nicer than a lot of Metros terminals. But one moment you're appreciating the scenery… and the next the tiles under your feet are flowing like water, hurling you down into the trench. It's as vile as you'd expect, but gives you an excellent vantage point as three serpents of dull steel rise fluidly out of the filth. The one nearest you crackles with energy you could mistake for electricity if it didn't cover the creature like a second skin. Flanking it are two more, looking down at you with grins of broken glass. You've gained 1 energy of Submerged. You've gained 20 energy of Vile Camouflage. |

Everything is quiet along the trench, filled with sewage and indistinguishable objects… too quiet. Your paranoia is rewarded with a pale shape bursting from the sewage, snapping its massive jaws at your legs. |
