Choice Text and Results

Encourage planting Eclipse

He caves quickly to your arguments that he should be planting Eclipse everywhere instead of just helping, as though he wanted to be convinced.

Encourage helping instead

You go right for the sucker punch, reminding him of the people that died, disappeared, or were injured last Halloween. He tries to blame it on everything other than Eclipse, but his arguments ring hollow and he agrees to help set up the party "for real."

Watch him

(First time?)

You watch him intently, but aren't much less confused than when you started.

You've earned 3 XP in Perception

(Second time?) (I got this the first time - perhaps 1 message for Eclipse planters, 1 for helpers, 1 for mixed??)

You watch him intently, and have started to see strange patterns and loops in his behavior… although perhaps that's normal for Emerald Gift fans.

You've earned 3 XP in Perception

(Third time?)

You watch him intently, and discover he actually has been helping.

You've earned 3 XP in Perception

(After encouraging him to plant Eclipse?)

You watch him intently, and discover he's been leaving Eclipse everywhere as he's moved around the stage.

You found: 3-4 tablets of Eclipse

You've earned 3 XP in Perception

Help him

You help him out, putting up some paper mache bats and other decorations. He's a bit of a perfectionist, so you eventually leave him behind, but you manage to do some good work together.

Or, if you asked him to plant eclipse

You help him out, letting him openly plant Eclipse everywhere he goes. It goes by fast, leave tons of little caches where partygoers can find them later.

Or, if you encouraged helping after watching him

You help him out with gusto, knowing that you can trust his motives. Together you actually get a lot of work done, mostly thanks to you prodding him on when he tries to add too much detail to every little thing.

Kill him

He shouts "Ahhh, what the hell! I wasn't doing anything wrong!" as you jump him.

A feeling of satisfaction rises through you. You've healed 4 hit points. (With Born of Sorrow)

Ignore him

You leave him to his own devices.
