Description	This book contains a handwritten account from the asylum's chief doctor. It's a massive book and written in sloppy, cramped handwriting, so it'll take you a while to find anything.

Use	(If you have tried the whispering door) You find a safe spot and page through the journal, looking for anything about a key. Eventually, you find a reference to a spare key he kept hidden under his desk. Perfect! (If you have done something(?) with Vigilante warfare quest) You find a safe spot and page through the journal. Huh, they mention the "Metroplex Slasher" you watched that awful movie about. Apparently it's based on a true story, but they recaptured the escapee and he eventually died in prison. The author of this journal was almost lynched by concerned citizens and the asylum was shut down shortly afterwards. (Otherwise) You find a safe spot and page through the journal. It has a lot of interesting details about mental health around the turn of the century, but nothing that seems to apply to your current situation.

You page through the journal. It's a daily account of the trials of the old head of this place, when it was an asylum.

Strangely, it seems like it used to be above ground. Either the university was built on top of it or something far stranger is going on.

You do find out a great deal about "the A wing" with the supplies and generators. Sounds like the worst of the patients were also kept there, away from the others.
