When using this item you get the message
Many of the papers are lists of numbers, some that look like account totals and others that seem to be associated with coordinates. You flip through them for something that at least has words.
Followed by one of:
You find an old list, going from U1 to U17, although the last has a question mark scrawled in next to it. Most of them have addresses that you faintly recognize as being in gated communities around Metroplex.
All but four of them also say "Missing" to the right of the address, written in more recently. U2 and U8 have "Escaped," U3 has "Under Surveillance," and U17 has "S? At Large."

You find a note neatly printed at the bottom of one of the coordinates tables that says "Echo team confirms intrusion."
