Initial Text

After years of blood red and toxic green punch, this artificially-colored blue monstrosity is actually kind of welcome. It looks better for painting landscapes than drinking, but that kind of fits the theme too.

Anyway, aside from some distractible college students, you've got a clear shot at the punch.

You've gained 20 energy of Halloween Spirit.

Eclipse Tainted Punch:

You help yourself to a ladle of the sugary concoction, letting the layers of perception slip and move over you. On one level you're here, experiencing a pleasant Halloween party, on another you're somewhere so deep in the sky that you can't even see the Earth.

Some nagging part in the back of your mind whispers that you'll never escape.

You've gained 10 energy* of Etheric.

You've gained 10 energy* of Halloween Spirit.

* +2 energy per point of Eclipse Duration

Take it

You help yourself to the entire bowl of punch. Hey, nobody will miss it, right?

You found: blue Halloween punch

Or with the Eclipse tainted punch,

You steal the bowl of punch, noticing as you do that it reflects distant skies and unimaginable seas. Maybe it's for the best nobody drinks this right now.

You found: sapphire Halloween punch

You strike up conversation with a costumed man next to the punch bowl. He's wearing a toga and a little too… into character.

He keeps talking about the "glory of the Republic" and "barbarians at the gates" as though they're very real and immediate concerns in his life. He's either utterly mad or an incredible actor. You wouldn't be surprised to find out this is how he spends his weekends.

You finally manage to escape as he begins rambling about "barbarians dying against the spears of our Noble Legion, stuck like pigs to bleed out on the Crystal Bridge."

You strike up conversation with a costumed man next to the punch bowl. He's wearing a toga and, perhaps unsurprisingly, is quite soused.

"That's the secret," he confides in you almost immediately, "you've got to start drinking before the party. It's like a warm up. And it's not like I could sneak a keg in under my toga, eh?"

"Anyway, I hope those chaps who snuck in for their secret party are all right. I mean, they can talk about bucking trends all they want, but Midgard Security's down there. And not the losers they have out in the Quad."

He looks around in a panic, as though expecting to be clubbed at any moment. While he's distracted you're able to slip away.

Leave it

You're not sure if the punch'll still be here when you get back, to be honest. Looking at paintings is apparently thirsty business.
