Item

Description Like a cage from a miniature zoo, this contains a tiny white mouse. It's hard to say what tests might have been run on the mouse before, but it looks like it could use a little more attention and air flow.

You set up the cage on a table so the mouse can get a little more light and fresh air. The mouse honestly seems pretty freaked out by the whole ordeal, but hopefully it'll calm down soon.

Feed it treats

mouse%20eating.png

You give the mouse a little extra of what you have lying around. Thankfully, the mouse's palate doesn't seem very discerning.

Normally:

It stuffs its face cheerfully, then goes off to make a mess in the corner of its cage. You win some and you lose some.

You've gained 20 duration of Friend of Small Things.

If the mouse is unwell?:

It stuffs its face lethargically, then goes off to make a sizable mess in the corner of its cage. You win some and you lose some.

You've gained 10 duration of Friend of Small Things.

Feed it lab food

You add some of the black pellets to your mouse's food. It doesn't seem thrilled by the concept, but does eat them.

For several hours later, it seems anxious, hiding in the corner of its cage.

Pet the mouse

mouse%20scritch%20no%20100.png

You try to give your tiny friend some pets, but it seems more lethargic than accepting. Like, it's probably good that it can't be bothered to run away from you, but the balance seems to be on the not running side rather than the you side.

You've gained 10 duration of Friend of Small Things.

Or, some other condition
You try to give your little friend some pets, but it does its best to bite you and run away. As a mouse, it's best bite isn't particularly good and there isn't anywhere to hide in the cage, but it's obvious it's not having a good time.

Add some toys

if your mouse is hungry?

You rearrange the mouse's cage a bit, adding some new bits of paper and cardboard. It seems more interested in eating the additions than playing with them, but at least it appreciates them.

You've gained 10 duration of Friend of Small Things.

conditions?

You've gained 20 duration of Friend of Small Things.

conditions?

You rearrange the mouse's cage a bit, adding some new bits of paper and cardboard. It seems more interested in climbing things to get away from the filthy floor than actually playing with the toys. Still it obviously appreciates them.

Clean the cage

mouse%20scritch%20no%20100.png

The mouse doesn't much seem to appreciate you going over its cage, but it is spotless when you're done.

Or, after a few days / feeding it treats?
Yeah, the cage was getting to be in pretty bad shape. It's a good thing you're cleaning it out and even your little friend seems to grudgingly accept it.

You've gained 20 duration of Friend of Small Things.

Let the mouse out

mouse%20scritch%20no%20100.png

mouse%20scritch%20happy%20100.png

You release the mouse to become better friends and find that it's quite happy just riding around in your clothes.

Well, it'll need to come back to the cage later to rest, but there's no harm letting it ride around for now.

You've gained 40 duration of Tame Mouse.
(Lose any remaining duration of Friend of Small Things)
