n | y | n | y | Go for a Short Burst (6). Dive For Cover (4) is an option but won't do any damage. |
n | y | y | n | Try Dive For Cover (4) followed by Single Shot (5). Evading early in the round is generally better, but your enemies also know this. |
n | y | y | y | A Dive For Cover (4) followed by Single Shot (5) then Short Burst (6) is a great option. If you hold your mouse over Short Burst below, you'll see it does more damage at the end of a Chain like this. |

You seem to have learned some advanced Techniques, but there's still a bit to learn. (precedes next message if you have a technique not mentioned in tips above.) |
To select each Technique, click it. It will show up in your 'Current Chain.' If you change your mind, you can click 'Clear' and when you're happy with your chain, click 'Strike'. |
Once you've begun a Chain, you need to maintain momentum. Each Technique follows the pattern set by those before it. |
Your Chains can go up or down from the starting Technique, but don't change direction or skip steps. |
You can use the keyboard to fight. The keys 1 through 5 are your Technique slots from left to right. The keys 's', 'c', and 'r' also work for Strike, Clear, and Run Away. |
You can see a Technique's full stats by holding down the Shift key while you click it. Even easier, you also can look at them in the Techniques page outside of combat. |
When fighting multiple enemies, you can change targets. Either click your target's portrait or hold shift and tap the appropriate number key. |
After combat, you can go to the Techniques link up top to modify your deck. It works like a deck of cards. The more copies of a Technique you have in there, the more often it will show up. |
You can also hit 'Strike' with an empty chain to get a new hand. Be careful, though, because your enemies will take advantage of your lapse of concentration. |
