Disconnect
In Novos Hacking, all your actions increase the Alert value in that hacking session. When the Alert increases to about 20-25 points, you are kicked from that system. However, there are various Routines that can automatically end a hacking session, listed here as a "Disconnect":
- Crackling Defense (Attacking it without Defense or Hardening)
- Cyberserpent (Attacking it without Defense or Hardening)
- Hardware Breaker (Attacking anything without Defense or Incognito)
- Handcoded Claw (Allowed to act without Defense, Hardening or Luck)
- Midgard Protector (Allowed to act without Defense, Hardening or Luck)
- Pale Swordsman (Allowed to act without Defense, Hardening or Luck)
- Static Feedback (Allowed to act without Defense, Hardening or Luck)
- Relay Redirector (Allowed to act without 2 Defense, or 1 Defense and Luck)
- Drill Control (1+ Command after positioning)
- Omega Order (1+ Command or 1+ Offense)
- Guidance System (3+ Command)
- Hive Guidance (3-5+ Command)
- Destroying all routines on a system (except for any Cyberserpent/Ancient Vault)
Notes
The normal alert increase is not displayed if you are disconnected. Any post-hacking encounters (such as security guard fights) trigger as normal from too much alert increase.
