Description | Something about this shard of mirror strikes you as rather strange, but it takes a moment to put your finger on it. It reflects you just fine, but doesn't seem to reflect anything else. As far as the mirror is concerned, you're floating in a diffusely lit grey void. |

This might merit some further inspection.

Message *:
You arrange the shards perfectly, so they're reflecting each other, creating an endless tunnel of reflections and crack, they join into one twinkling shard.
Message †:
You arrange the shards to look at the reflected item in the empty shard. Both pieces of glass hum, then shatter into dust.
If you use an empty shard with no other combinable items in your inventory:
Most areas:
You play with the shard for a while, but the only thing that seems to reflect in it is youWhen used in some areas Outside the Slags or inside The Slagsa:
You play with the shard for a while, but only two things seem to reflect in it. One is you. The other is a monstrous vortex of green energy swirling over Ground Zero at the center of the Slags. You check over your shoulder. Thankfully there doesn't actually seem to be a sky-devouring vortex hanging over the Slags. Wheh.
When used in Metroplex U area or The Quadb:
You play with the shard for a while, but only two things seem to reflect in it. One is you. The other is a green glow fountaining out of the smoldering pit where the Dorms once stood. When used in the VIP Roomc:
You play with the shard for a while, but only two things seem to reflect in it. One is you. The other is a strangely dressed girl in the corner who seems to be distributing Eclipse. Huh.
Testing table:
Trying to use more shards than you have:
You don't have enough empty shards for that. You can't expect them in themselves really, you need to inspect each one in a different one.
Or, trying to inspect a non-sensical amount (eg. zero or negative or non-numeric)
You don't inspect anything. It doesn't take long, but it's time well spent.
Or, if try to inspect an empty shard with only one shard in inventory:
It's hard to inspect something you don't have.
Or, if you are out of shards:
Sadly, it seems you're out of empty shards.
