						 <p>I got the skill today, with no <a href="http://metroplexity.wikidot.com/horrible-black-coffee">horrible black coffee</a> consumed at all this run, although I have used plenty of <a href="http://metroplexity.wikidot.com/stimulant-dust">stimulant dust</a> and some <a href="http://metroplexity.wikidot.com/cut-nova">cut Nova</a>. I had <a href="http://metroplexity.wikidot.com/sparkling-blood">Sparkling Blood</a> active most of the time I was watching TV and did not have <a href="http://metroplexity.wikidot.com/pep-in-your-step">Pep In Your Step</a> active when I got the skill.</p> <p>I think I might have seen the news program once or twice while I was in-run, but I didn't think to keep records until I was trying for it post-run. My data for day 6 is questionable, because I'm not sure in one case whether I got two instances of the news program in a row, or whether I clicked the button to rest again but the page didn't update. So I may be off by one there. Sorry for the half-assed data, but better than nothing, right?</p> <p>Just in case, I'm differentiating between the old-school news program with no image and the news with Rachel. I did not use all possible E/H/B every day, and did not watch <a href="http://metroplexity.wikidot.com/tv">TV</a> at all on days 4 and 5.</p> <table class="wiki-content-table"> <tr> <th>Day</th> <th>News</th> <th>Rachel</th> </tr> <tr> <td>1</td> <td>1</td> <td>2</td> </tr> <tr> <td>2</td> <td>1</td> <td>2</td> </tr> <tr> <td>3</td> <td>2</td> <td>3</td> </tr> <tr> <td>4</td> <td>-</td> <td>-</td> </tr> <tr> <td>5</td> <td>-</td> <td>-</td> </tr> <tr> <td>6</td> <td>12</td> <td>5</td> </tr> <tr> <td>7</td> <td>1</td> <td>1</td> </tr> <tr> <td>8</td> <td>1</td> <td>-</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Total</td> <td>18</td> <td>13</td> </tr> </table>

<p>I spent about 3 or 4 full days resting before the Christmas/Punk stuff happened in hopes of getting this skill with no luck. Spent about another 10 turns resting today and go it. So, I feel like I can probably eliminate any theories that you need to get high strung x times in the past x days or whatever.</p> <p>Also, for the record, had only a descrambled TV installed. Don't think I had drank any black coffee this run.</p>

<p>Got it on the first occurence of of the day of the &quot;high-strung&quot; program, after 3 days of doing nothing but watching TV (well, and some crafting). I didn't keep a close track, but I must have seen the high strung program 12 - 15 times.</p>

<p>Just got the skill after almost 5 days of doing nothing but resting. I'm pretty sure it's either a flat chance (unlikely), or based on a counter that increases every time you get the high-strung message. The turn right before I got the skill was also a &quot;high strung&quot; message, and I had the same effects. I had drunk a cup of horrible black coffee earlier, but I doubt there's a link here.</p>

<p>Got it, can't see that I didn't anything different. 2 cups of horrible coffee and 1 snort of Nova, but it happened long after that. I think it might have been my first &quot;high strung&quot; message of the day though (as opposed to &quot;jumpy&quot;). But *shrug*.</p>

<p>I think I have found an element needed possibly to get this skill.</p> <p>4 days of resting (as can be heard on the podcast), nada, no skill.</p> <p>My first rest of the day (been doing nothing for a few days, and then some crafting the days before today) and bam, programmed terror.</p> <p>I got myself some Ocean Sight and then drank 3 cups of <strong>horrible black coffee</strong> before resting in front of my descrambled tv.<br /> Fits well with the &quot;high-strung&quot;.</p>

<p>I got the skill resting in Southside with my First Aid equipment. I had the Chemistry Lab, Descrambled TV and Dropping Skeleton (which I had put in earlier that day) installed at my home.<br /> I also had the Fae Sight effect (and Halloween Spirit and No Pain), which potentially might be a factor. Does anyone remember, if you were etheric when you got this?</p>

<p>Spend anther ~40 energy, got the &quot;increasing crime rates and terrible diseases&quot; message another three times and no skill. This was all with just a <a href="http://metroplexity.wikidot.com/descrambled-tv">descrambled TV</a> equipped. On a hunch, I installed an <a href="http://metroplexity.wikidot.com/antique-plasma-tv">antique plasma TV</a> also, and got it my very next turn. Could be coincidence, or could require the antique kind of TV, or maybe both installed?</p> <blockquote> <p>The TV warms you with its soothing glow as you rest in front of it, flipping through channels.</p> <p>The news flickers on. You watch a series of exposes about increasing crime rates and terrible diseases before you finally flip the TV off.</p> <p>Well, if that's not going to make you high strung, nothing is.</p> <p>You've learned a new Skill: Programmed Terror</p> <p>You've earned 2 XP in Perception</p> </blockquote>

<p>I've got it while resting in Southside a while ago. Due to lag I clicked on &quot;Continue on&quot; before I saw the resulting message, so I don't know which one gave me the skill. I'm pretty sure that I've rested less than 5 times at Southside at that day before I've got it since I was only PvPing there.</p>

<p>I believe it comes from watching the news program a bunch. I got a message earlier today when I watched it along the lines of &quot;if this doesn't make you jumpy, i don't know what will&quot;(not the exact text) and then another one saying<br /> &quot; You watch a bit of news and find yourself becoming more and more jumpy. It's a scary world out there.&quot; I assume it's the counter for this skill building up or somesuch</p>
