Having gone in-n-out of the hideout to the "first" security hole again and I see I'm at "the edge of the cave, in an area faintly illuminated by the Fangs' jury-rigged lights."

That's not even as far back in the cave as you can be! Has that always been that way this run? Did it become this way after a while? What? Whatever.
