You said there aren't any items we can get from salvaging that we don't know about, implying that there is some non-item thing out there yet to find. This is something other than the Expert Salvager skill, right?
Thanks a bunch for the podcast Kinak. I'd put in my vote for as much mad science as possible. We haven't seen the depths of this new item yet, but I really like the theme of it so far!
(I half expected this one to be a two hour gen-con recap, but I guess no one asked about it. :( Maybe next year…)

Yup, I know you've found Expert Salvager.

For Science!

Ah, yes, I do love talking about GenCon. I talked a bit about our haul on my apparently-mostly-Pathfinder tumblr.
Other than that, went to a lot of Paizo seminars, got to hang out with one of my favorite fantasy authors, watched Lyz cosplay and people being not douchey about women cosplaying, met some of the other cool Pathfinder cosplayers, ran True Dungeon and saved the party with an ancient relic before being backstabbed by a drow, and introduced a new attendee to the hall for the first time.
The con as a whole was insane. Thursday felt like Saturday felt last year, attendance-wise, and the hall was substantially larger than before. The staff handled it well, but things were packed.
Cheers!
Kinak
I would also be in favor of additional mad science! A lab coat equivalent of the spacious cargo pants might be neat, as an idea to throw out there.
