When I have had this effect active (during several consecutive days of drone hacking), I have never gotten anything but sugar pills. But when I got an "Alliance" drone without the effect active, I also got some drugs in addition to sugar pills. So it looks like the effect filters out smugglers pretending to be Alliance shippers.

Yeah, I was afraid of that so I've been hacking without filters on in hopes of rare smuggler drops. I *have* gotten just 6 sugar pills with no filter (not unexpected).

I've been trying to view the drone records where possible but have zero smugglers in the last dozen drones I've looked at.
