I am invigorated by your hearty passionate full on embrace of dance fighting.
(have not actually listened to the podcast yet but I can see no other possible outcome)
How could it be any other way?
OMG you're following Nuclear Throne! So am I! Have you heard of The Beginner's Guide? Now there's a very unique experience I'm interested in hearing your take on. I mean the whole Beginner's Guide thing can make for great fodder for another blog post.
I've watched a bit of Beginner's Guide (the first two stages, basically). I might watch or play some more later.
I will agree with the thesis that games reveal far more about their creators than the creators want to admit to themselves. That applies, as in the Beginner's Guide, with lone visionaries. But it also applies to "faceless" AAA titles; it's just that the agenda you're looking into is the studio's rather than an individual's.
I can capture iOS stuff, although ironically not stuff on my laptop, so if there's an iOS version and interest, I might do a Let's Play.
On your comment about everyone loving batons I don't think that's too too out of place. There's a lot of batons in this game. Quite a bit. I think knives edge out batons by just a little bit. But, enough of them that they stand out on the range of melee weapon types out there. Guns, of course, blow everyone out of the water.
Well, guns get split into their subgroups as well. Some of which could probably use love :)
Cheers!
