Harvest Dreams

Some random initial data: there are some "treat" encounters (gives out candy), and some "trick" encounters (where she turns your wine into poison or something), and occasionally a choice encounter where she lets you choose "trick" or "treat".

It seems the trick encounters show up if you have a Treat Effect (extends duration by 20?). You get 2 candy instead of 1 if you have a mask on for the treat encounters.

Looks to be 5 candies/effects: +2 power to each stat plus unopposed.

Also: no apparent result for wearing both treat baskets (weapon/offhand). Nothing special for full mummy outfit aside from the mask.

I actually had the opposite experience. My first encounter was getting 20 energy of Expensive Treat, and then I seemed to be getting the "treat" encounters while already having an effect active.

Not exactly sure how to slide this into the existing page. After getting a Trick result with the rubber mask equipped at the end of the result I had the following added:

At least you learned something from the trick.
You learned a new Technique: Sudden Adaptation

Al, did you have a mask equipped when you were using treat baskets? With a serpentine bowl equipped (but no mask) I'm now two for two on getting combat encounters, and I got none at all yesterday.

I know that I had a mask on at least once, I'm not sure if I tried it without. I had the green basket weapon and university funding bucket offhand.

EDIT: with no mask, green treat bucket, empty candy bowl, got the 20 duration Expensive treat wine tasting. Still haven't seen the rubber mask or any combats.

If eating a different candy removes (replaces?) a treat effect with another treat effect (btw, does this do the same "extension" thing that cloak feathers have?), I guess the candies we get are determined based on something we already did?

It does remove completely (eg. if you have 31 energy of Bitter Treat and eat an expensive mint, you end up with only 20 energy of Expensive Treat.) I have occasionally gotten the +20 energy noncombat but mostly the candy results so far.

No choice encounter and no combat and no rubber mask, not sure what's up.

Just learned Harvester Grin. I'd learned Harvester Reaping previously with both the mask and blade equipped, got this with just the mask. Don't know yet it's just random with both or if the blade takes priority, or if there's any relation to the particular trick encounter I got.

Wandering in your daydreams, you find a door. Behind it, a woman in a grinning mask stares at you enigmatically.

She makes you wait until you're ready to say something, then closes the door. When you work up the courage and anger to knock, you find the door itself has disappeared entirely.

You've gained 20 duration of Violent Treat.

At least you learned something from the trick.

I've been daydreaming for days but have yet to fight the Harvester or be given the choice to Trick or Treat. I have been given lots of candy and one rubber mask as well as lots of curiously unfilling appetizers and wine.

The last couple days I seem to be primarily getting combats, occasionally a bit of candy. The streaks that people are getting make me think there's something going on that can impact it. Maybe chance of encounters stuff? When getting mostly combats, my only one active has been chance of etheric encounters, I think. Maybe pumping choice or noncombat might change things up. I'll need to try that.

Edit: Having switched to choice encounters as my highest chance modifier, today I got a trick, two trick or treat encounters, and then one combat.
