So I've killed enough people for the vines to look like they're winning over the mushrooms, but even while etheric demanding the elevator to obey me isn't doing anything. I also went and interacted with the plant in the Misty Offices enough to get it to be willing to let me across to the records office when I ask politely, but that doesn't look like it extends to the parking garage. I have *not* used Implant Seed in the parking garage at all yet, so that may be necessary.
Edit: 12 successful sproutings in the parking garage so far is not enough.
Edit: Continuing on to the next day, 30 successful sproutings doesn't seem to have caused any changes, aside from the kill counter getting up high enough that I did have one encounter with the rats.
Edit: Up to 41 total, and still can't command the elevator. So I think there's some other trick, though being related to the vines still seems likely.
