This was put in with the latest update. When you've gotten Dr. Thomas to agree to supply Eclipse to the Third Eye, and then rescue (fail to rescue) David and Amundsen, and then tell Hawk you've got the Eclipse for him:

"Huh? Well, we don't really need the Eclipse anymore, do we?

Thanks to your theatrics, our suppliers decided that they need to take things into their own hands next time. But they're still keen on supplying us with Eclipse. Really, I couldn't hope for a better deal.

You should be glad that went down so well. I normally don't take kindly to infighting… but we'll chalk this one up to thinning the herd a bit.

Next time we make a deal, though, you stick to it."

I'm not entirely clear on the format of these contact pages, so I hesitate to edit this in myself. But, if you talk to Hawk with a genuine hawk feather equipped, you get a new dialogue option "Look at this feather". Picking it gives you this:

Hey, that's a real hawk feather isn't it? Last time I saw one of those…

Huh, must have been the first time I really grokked Eclipse. Still got cocky, of course, everybody does.

Only question then is whether you're clever enough to come out alive or smart enough to end up dead. Maybe someday, you kick enough ass, you'll see which category you fall into.

Also, I have an option to say "What else can I do?" I don't see that precise wording on the page right now.

After chatting up Dr Thomas from the cracked fang PDA converstions, I unlocked two new conversations:

Does Yggdrasil ring a bell?

Yggdrasil? Yeah, of course I've heard of it!

It's that social networking game… thing Midgard had a while back, when they thought they could stand toe to toe with Zaibatsu. You can probably guess how that turned out.
It was pretty popular here when I was going to school, though, because all the Midgard parents felt like they needed to get accounts for their kids. It bombed everywhere else, though.

I mean… maybe symbolically. Like both connect people and… open your eyes to fantastic vistas?

Sorry, I'm reaching here. It was basically a piece of software that created a linked network of blogs that was supposed to have a bunch of games layered over it.

The only one that really took off was the built-in one, Spacehammer or something like that, can't remember the name. It was kind of cool if you didn't mind the blatant product placement.

I think Yggdrasil was the one that got shut down because some hackers figured out it was distributing viral code. Now people just call that "marketing."

And also Know a Sigmund from the initial conversation or a "How about Sigmund" reply:

Sigmund? I'm gonna guess you don't mean the lead singer of the Flaming Skulls.

I got to see them live once when they came through town. Lousy music, great pyro.

But yeah, other than that I've got nothing.

Talking to Dr. Thomas specifically isn't actually necessary. You just need to have heard about Yggdrasil in general.

Product Placement?

Oh, yeah, it was crazy. For classes they had stuff like Drone Engineer, god they were broken, and Soldier.

Engineer's drones were all standard Midgard drones. Like you started out with Hound Drones, then got Spiders after a while.

And the soldiers all had MK9s. This was right after the MK9 came out… I suppose I'm dating myself.

It actually got worse from there, because a lot of the lowlevel enemies were "Tweaks" that, I kid you not, looked like characters from Zaibatsu shows. Made for some good bossfights, though.

Actually, I kind of wonder if they still have the servers running… maybe I could log in my drone engineer and kill a bunch of Tweaks with my SD2.

Oh, him? Yeah, he's been around before, but not much of a VIP regular.

Funny kid… most everyone else in the VIP room is there for the Eclipse. He acts like it'll burn him, like those Blind Legion freakshows.

I'm not sure where to put this. I got Hawk as a contact in aftercore. The result is the already recorded, but the option isn't.

Option:
What can I do to stop being a newb?

Result:
Mission, eh?

Well, have to admit I don't have much for you at the moment. Let me give it a bit more thought.

I'm sure you can do some good.

Hawk didn't give me any leads when asking about Downtown after first joining the Third Eye, which I did after I had already taken care of the ghouls on the docks.

I then went and got him the waterfront schedule, asked about Oldtown, and then asked about Downtown and he's giving me the stuff to lead into Third Eye's Aid. Since he talks about computer stuff, not sure if asking about Oldtown and getting the BigDig experimental file was necessary or not.
