These are taken from the "NOTE" section:
Is it really 'sometimes'? I just got a sample of every item, does this always happen?
(I did too this time, but then again, with 7 possibilities and so many items, you're going to get an average of 5-ish each, so getting 0 would be pretty unlikely even if it wasn't coded against -Vholes)
(Although I did get 4 fresh chips, 9 battered, and 6 omniwatches, which is the only value listed so far. So it could be a more specific distribution of items than we usually see in containers. -alsoVholes)
I opened 12 today and updated the page with that data. My suspicion is that the items all have a 0-10 drop range (and battered chips 2-12).
(12 omniwatches were found in one crate)
here's data from the container spading page (first 13 in case more get added):
• battered cred chip 73 (15.1%)
• fresh cred chip 77 (16.0%)
• Instaheat soup 64 (13.3%)
• moist cookies 53 (11.0%)
• OmniWatch 68 (14.1%)
• pep pill 67 (13.9%)
• protein bar 80 (16.6%)
In the beginning, men were mortal.
Using 124, gave 4,362 items, or average of 35.1 items per use:
- You found: 639 pep pills
- You found: 607 protein bars
- You found: 624 cans of Instaheat soup
- You found: 632 battered cred chips (gives avg. 5.5 cred each)
- You found: 643 packets of moist cookies
- You found: 627 fresh cred chips (gives avg. 35 cred each)
- You found: 590 OmniWatches
Looks even distribution. Average cred reward: 35*(1/7*5.5 + 1/7*35) = 202.5 cred per use, plus misc low level foods and such. With the Crate Shipment encounter, if you boost choice encounter chance+PvP encounter chance, I bet you could make 3000-5000 cred a day without too much work? I'll experiment tomorrow.
EDIT: In one day's worth of energy (eating decent but not crazy fancy food), I got 12 crates (2,424 cred) plus another 2,271 cred from shakedown and other minor combats. Just shy of 5000 cred a day. Not bad! (Had to spend a few turns clearing out PvPers from other gangs but not bad to do.)
