So I recently just beat the sewer hideout, and realized I didn't get the adventure that tells me about dr thomas. Is there any way to get her again? And if not, I would say that there probably should be, even if it's the chess info guy, especially since it seems like in her initial conversation that there could be multiple ways to find her.

I think I asked Kinak this once and he said that if you missed that conversation, you can't get her. This game does stress the major effect of your decisions… but I do like the idea of the chess guy telling you about her if you cream him at chess (say Master status?). What's the current situation, by the way? Does the chess guy even show up if you don't know Dr. Thomas? (I ask since he calls you "Dr. Thomas' new catch")

I think llamaman's point has some merit. Those of us who have done some beta resets ought to know better, but a real newbie wouldn't necessarily even know there was even a decision to be made. And unlike most other choices in the game (Carlos/friendly bum, etc), there isn't any known advantage to avoiding her quest, or at least having her as a contact.

Actually, there'll be a branch in the Survivors quest that wouldn't make sense if it didn't provide Dr. Thomas's contact information. So this specific one will sort itself out when that quest is dropped in.

Maybe this makes me a bad person, but I actually like optional content locking itself out in moderation. Once you understand that you might miss something, it adds another layer of context to the choices surrounding it.

Yeah, fair enough, she just seemed like a rather substantial lockout at this time, and yeah, I had gathered that she seemed pretty important to the mainplot, as well as that multiple people seemed to have connections to her already, and chessguy seemed like a good secondary, since he seems to know a bit about her.
