I at 6 Blitz poppers with 0 Energy and had the heart throb thing as well. Maybe it's from taking them when exhausted (i.e. on an empty stomach)?

I multiused only two poppers and still got the throbs painfully message. And I even have Undying Heart! I had plenty of Hunger and Body left too.

With control of both the Waterfront and the Sewers, I got 5-7 energy and this message:

So maybe controlling both zones gives you more room to run, and hence more energy?

Also, yesterday I used a popper in Southside Park just after the fight that got our gang complete control of the zone. But although it was set as my location, I did not get the laps message or the extra energy gains. So either having control is not the whole story, or maybe I would have had to spend another turn in the zone after taking control for the game to register me as being there for running purposes.

Though my gang had control of all 4 zones, using a popper after only adventuring in the sewers that day only let me run through the sewers. Perhaps you need to have been there that day while controlling the zone to be able to run through it?

There's a bit more to being able to run around an area than what's currently listed on the page. I took one after adventuring in an area we had control, then taking it, and didn't get the runaround message.

Kinak: Yeah, there's a touch more too it than that.

So I've used about 13 of these now and have yet to get the heart painfully throbbing in my chest message. Anyone know about how many it usually takes? I've been able to run around the docks so maybe that is what is making the difference?

Remember to multiuse them; apart from that, I don't know.
