So I've been having quite a bit of difficulty destroying sites, almost entirely due to crosslinks. Any time I run into a site with one (and almost all of them have it) even when I destroy it and its the last remaining thing it takes so much offense that the alert goes up and kicks me off the no longer existing site before I get the relay message. Any advice or recommendations would be welcome cause its really annoying. Should I be trying places other then the quad? Taking out some of the other sites didn't see to work. Even when defenses pop up after I've destroyed the last bit I can usually handle them so long as the site lacked crosslinks.
I made a podcast question about this. I think even more than one podcast question. Difficulties of taking down crosslinks and difficulties of culling sites. Kinak asked in the latest podcast to get back to him about this if it wasn't quite working right, and as you can see from my lack of a response to the podcast answered thread that I haven't been able to get back to him about that yet. Generally too busy and then resetting too much to do another look at Novos hacking. I was planning to take a look at it today but my run with Hel took way too long and now I have no energy to check anything. So it'll be till sometime tomorrow before I can take a look and send some feedback back to Kinak as he asked.
tl;dr you aren't the only one who had difficulties like this. So maybe the difficulty may or may not be intended not sure yet. Things went okay before cause we weren't really incentivized to take down sites but now that we are maybe more people will run into this difficulty.
xKiv and I independently asked Kinak about this yesterday, and Crosslinks have been updated so that having lots of code finesse won't wind up making them nearly impossible to destroy.
Yeah, that should be good now.
Thanks to everyone for having enough faith in me to assume there's a better way around it, but I think the new code now does a pretty good job telling if you're just trying to blow it all up and helping you along. Sorry for not seeing that interaction coming.

Greatly appreciated. It at least seems much more doable now, still now idea how xkiv and xerf have so many but at least I'm not spending a whole days worth of energy getting kicked after destroying the last routine every single time anymore. Still sometimes, but thats manageable.
I got most of my score on the first day, when you could get +1 from each slags drone simply by downing its guidance system (which took the "site" down and didn't give any alarm).
After that, I could only get 2 to 4 per day. Haven't checked after "systems without routines now shouldn't be able to kick you out before crashing" yet. That *sounds* like +20/day or more.
I just got kicked off a site after taking down the last routine but really running up the alert, so I'm not sure if it's quite that big a change. Possibly the final routine isn't adding extra unsubtle to your action?
