Was not actually prepared for a fight:

You dive for cover.
Its chitin-tipped tongue extends batters the inside of its mask.

You shoot the form for 2 ranged damage.
Worms burst out of the flesh around you, devouring you for 24 etheric damage.

The form gives you the Evil Eye and you burst into flames. The malefic green fire deals you 27 etheric damage.

You've been beaten to hell!

The worm regurgitates you in a rancid wave of bile.

Reporting the messaging about the mask.

Edit: A somewhat more prepared fight, though I'm still recently out of a reset:

You lead with a strong jab for 25 melee damage.
Its chitin-tipped tongue extends batters the inside of its mask.

You slam into the form and deal 26 melee damage before it can fend off the attack.
Worms burst out of the flesh around you, devouring you for 12 etheric damage.

You punch the form, throwing the whole weight of your body behind it and dealing 28 melee damage.

You've won the battle!

The worm regurgitates you in a rancid wave of blood and bile.

You've earned 5 XP in Strength

This was with a Myers sampling kit.

Also tried beating this with worm scale shirt, worm scale pants, and a tome of binding. No interesting results.

Also tried doing it with worm shirt/pants, worm mandible, and using Slicing Mandible and Ghoul Bite. Nothing interesting.

No change to fighting this with writhing flesh active (for acid interactions).

The worm regurgitates you in a rancid wave of blood and bile.

No change with Chitin Hands.
