The spiders swarm over you, biting in a thousand different places. You can barely see through the mass. You take 52 agonizing damage from their bites and venom.
This seems to be from if it uses summon spiders 4 or more times in a single combat.
From some quick testing, it looks like the amount of damage the Summon Spiders attack does (at the end of every round) is equal to:
(number of times used this combat), squared, and then subtract melee defense.
It also gives you that many turns of Spider Venom. So if you purposely drag out combat a long time, the swarm of spiders quickly takes over. (After ~7 summons, it was doing 50+ damage (and I quickly died))
The Inject Venom technique now does direct melee damage, in addition to 5 turns of Spider Venom.
The spider lunges forward and bites you for 2 damage.
ALSO - The Slip Close technique was added, probably since last Halloween.
I wonder if there are nest keeper interactions? I

The ooze explodes out, all legs and eyes and chitin. After what seems like years, but is probably only a moment, the ooze has solidified into two massive spiders. Each towers over you like a statue carved of volcanic rock, but you move quickly before the first can stab you with its serrated leg.

Cool, I missed this post but as a guy with a bunch of spider in his avatar, I have to point out the neat containment suit messages Arkaim found. :)
