I am confused by the new resting system.

Summary:

I get the healing items deteriorating over time without resting, but...

Why does resting sometimes heal me for 35 damage and sometimes heal me for 56? One time it even healed me for 63.

As best as I can tell, this is completely random. I've tried many different things and have failed to find any discernible pattern. Though, in my experience, my home in Southside always heals 48.

What's the deal?

You can search for my confused rest-spading from ages ago, but I doubt it would help much.

Your apartment in Southside is probably constant because there isn't a gang hideout there. If the First Aid Supplies add a variable amount, that would explain any variation in the Docks, University, or Outside the Slags. The resting update recently may have changed things as well. Also, note that if you're watching TV (whether in your apartment, or in any of the hideouts), emergency room dramas will cause you to heal more.

The resting update obviously changed things.

It used to *always* heal me 56 damage. Now 75% of the time it only heals 35. I have no idea why.

There was a bug where resting while watching TV hadn't been reduced to match other resting at home/hideout. It should be fixed now.

There are other things that cause it to vary, but that's probably what you were seeing.

Okay, apparently TV resting = 42 now, and otherwise it's 35.

It used to always be the same, so I dunno what's up with that.

Oh and Southside is now always 36. EDIT: No wait I just got a 42 there.

I'm still confused.

It was still janky, sorry. Hideouts and your actual house heal different amounts now, but that wasn't being reflected in TV watching.

Other than that, everything looks shiny.
