Carbonated Drinks / Discussion

My mom was raised in eastern Canada, and so I was raised to call non-alcoholic carbonated beverages "Soft Drinks". Most of my (western Canadian) peers call it "Pop". The rest of the world differs. I'm pretty sure that "Cola" is just completely the wrong category name here — to rename one day.

I think "carbonated" or "carbonated drinks" is good?

Also, exploding candy lists the following "known sodas" not listed on this page:
BANG! cola
Omnicola

and doesn't list:
healthy soda
