electricity

seems unusually vulnerable to electric attacks.

The helidrone responds badly to the electricity you poured into it, suffering 14 damage worth of circuit failure.

In a dozen or so combats, I got 24 Microrockets and 0 Long Clips. (Salvaging/electrical tools didn't seem to help). Long clips might only drop on them on the fifth floor or some other trigger or not at all.

EDIT: Only got Microrockets in a small handful of combats in the damaged buildings as well.

I suspect that the drop chance for broken/non-broken antennas is similar to how the containment suit drops work - the more you hit the drone in the fight, the more the chance that it will break.

Or at least my small biased dataset leads me to think that - 10 combats in a row where I did three fairly powerful ranged attacks and got 10 damaged antennas. Then did a couple fights where I just did a single move and got intact antennas right away.

Ignore above data, the system has apparently changed! (Posting this because it seems likely we'll forget to take a look here because of recent other discoveries…)

Initial look at new helidrone mechanics. Low damage seems to be key — can go as high as 9 and get undamaged one, low as 15 and get a damaged.

In run — tried to get an antenna, which took 11 tries. Eventually got it with:

You strike with all your might and deal 12 damage.
The helidrone arcs a stream of bullets high above you and into you for 7 damage.

You punch the helidrone, throwing the whole weight of your body behind it and dealing 14 damage.

You leap into the helidrone for 6 damage.

You snap at the helidrone like a muzzled beast, ramming your headgear into it for 10 damage.

I wonder if there's something to trigger getting them intact? I did the first half dozen with ranged, then switched to melee.

Re: "with electrical, possibly with salvaging tools" - I can confirm {circuit fragments, long clip, optical sensor} with salvaging tools. BTW, long clip isn't listed as a possible result on salvaging tools or electrical kit - is that intentional?

Definitely an oversight on one page or the other - if we can confirm that the long clip does not drop without the tools (most likely) then I would update electrical kit page. (That page looks pretty out of date - needs mining drones etc.)
