Fae Step and Ocean's Touch don't have any empty gaps near them, but then, considering Expert Salvager is between them, we shouldn't read to much into that. Keeping that in mind, what about checking for skills that cross over - get Ocean Sight and give the bauble to the fae, or get Fae Sight and give it to the sea-thing

Yeah, it's fairly likely that someone's already tried it intentionally or not, but hey, we might as well be systematic.

I'm pretty sure I've seen the fishman and fairy before committing with the bauble in my initial maddening bout of spading, and I'm pretty sure it's impossible to help one faction and then give the bauble to the other, since the other is dead.

I'm also pretty sure of the same things, but Kinak's comments on how much of the game has been left undiscovered still lingers…

(there seem to be multiple faeries, at least, so it's not as though you wipe out a faction with one jar)

But yeah, I spent a whole lot of time adventuring everywhere in the game with the bauble equipped, using slags poisoning for my etheric inducement and got nothing anywhere.

I didn't think it was very likely, but it's always good to check this stuff anyway. And, lo, using Electrical Engineering I or Electrical Engineering II does nothing but waste credits (but at least not energy) even if you know a whole lot of Electronics recipes.

The gap at 13 could be for choosing the Pyro ending but somehow actually surviving. That would be cool.

I feel like skill 58 should be a David question skill, and there is no skill for helping the mushroom people. Is there anything from podcasts or hints that would indicate otherwise?
