There were two new items from that [the powder pouring change]. One of which is the mysterious ash, which should be obvious. The other one is … less obvious. The other new item might help figure out the minor thing that was left, and both it and the mysterious ash have some notable stuff in play. The mysterious ash having more so. I think you'll like the other one. It's actually, I think, pretty interesting. Not sure if it'll necessarily be like the bee's knees for optimality or anything but it's pretty neat, and the ash does a bunch of stuff, so I'll be watching to see people working with that.

So I just got a message from listening to the music of the cube and I can't find it documented anywhere. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of the Cube can tell me if I've stumbled upon something new here.

You listen to the cube's strange rhythms. Perhaps it's just chaos, but after a while you think you've picked up on patterns, moving at a meter you're not familiar with.

It seems fainter than the last time you listened, perhaps it's driven by a spring somewhere in the cube's core.

You've gained 10 energy of Music of the Cube.

This occurred after listening to the Cube continuously for at least 50 energy (5 buffs worth)

I'd like to see how this changes between resets and see if any pattern can be found.

Mysterious Puzzle Box:
Rotate the top -> (Failure)
Twist the sides -> +5 Puzzle's Gaze
Swivel a corner -> powder chamber
Pull at a crease -> Mysterious Puzzle Rod
Push at the center -> Mysterious Puzzle Tablet
Look for another catch -> Mysterious Puzzle Pyramid

Mysterious Puzzle Rod:
Turn the left side -> (Failure)
Twist around the axis -> Mysterious Puzzle Pyramid
Work on the right edge -> +5 on Music of the Cube uses
Pull at another crease -> Mysterious Puzzle Box
Fold in the middle -> grind powder
Search for a latch -> Mysterious Puzzle Tablet

Mysterious Puzzle Pyramid:
Twist the bottom -> Failure
Slide the faces -> Mysterious Puzzle Rod
Rotate the top -> new tablet readings
Try to open a side -> Mysterious Puzzle Tablet
Work on the middle layer -> red flakes
Reach for the eye -> Mysterious Puzzle Box

Mysterious Puzzle Tablet:
Twist the left side ->
Separate the layers -> +5 Black Metal Strength
Start from a corner -> toggle red flakes/powder grinding
Find a crease -> mysterious puzzle pyramid
Fold the corners in -> Mysterious Puzzle Box
Look for a latch -> Mysterious Puzzle Rod
Read the tablet -> +5 Runic Puzzle

Take a look at the discussion thread (page 2) for mysterious puzzle, I have 20 configurations (some partial) posted there in order. I recommend the table format for ease of finding patterns (it's how I found two configuration rules).

I know Wyrd had some tables as well but I think they were all lost in unsaved private messages or merging wiki pages.

I think a tiny bit hasn't been figured out from a story perspective at least, or there's a tiny mechanical thing that has some story implications at least, that hasn't been figured out.

I don't think we ever found everything there is to find in the mysterious ash. Not sure where else to look but this is in season now so it's a good time to take a [or, for many of us, another] crack at it.

The pages for this item are sort of an embarrassment of riches. There's a page for each form, mysterious puzzle, intuitive puzzle, short sweet mysterious puzzle guide (my go-to), maybe even more. It'd be nice to clean up and consolidate them, but I'm afraid to destroy potentially valuable spading data in the process, especially since my understanding of this item is not exactly fresh.
