Has anyone gotten this encounter before looking in Dr. A's room?
Maybe you need to know why you're infiltrating the Third Eye, before you can try to infiltrate them.

Bought a round of drinks. bet ten cred and lost at a pool game, and fought off a roaring drunk before this encounter popped up.

There's some veeeery old spading data, mostly by myself, that I'll copy over here (used to be at the bottom of the happy hour page…. wiki wasn't very organized back then)

*How to unlock the drunken third eye encounter?
Attempt One (no VIP access):
(ignored all unmentioned choice encounters, fought roaring drunks)
-bought poseur a drink x5
-got "A Round for My Friends" encounter, which I've never seen without buying a round - until now!
-bought poseur a drink x2
-got another "Round"
-bought poseur a drink x2
-"Round"
-poseur x1
-found the drunken Third Eye!

Hypothesis:
You need to get a certain amount of "Friendship" with the Third Eye before you can get the Drunken Third Eye encounter to show up. You can get this by buying the poseurs a drink, or by buying rounds. At 5 Friendship, you'll start getting the "Round for my friends" noncombat, and at 10 Friendship, you can find the drunken Third Eye.

Buying a drink for a poseur gives you 1 Friendship point.
Buying rounds gives 5 Friendship points. (unconfirmed but seems likely)
Apologizing to the poseur does nothing. (unconfirmed but seems likely)

It is unknown whether the "Round" encounter has any effect, or is simply an indicator of growing friendliness.
It is unknown whether fighting the Third Eye poseur has any effect on friendliness.
It is unknown whether wearing a Third Eye shirt has any effect.
It is unknown whether starting a brawl has any effect.
(Feel free to add any other hypotheses)

Waaay later, here's another attempt. I deleted my second one due to vague nature of data.
*apologized to poseur
*bought a round
(started getting "a round for my friends" encounter)
*apologized to poseur
*bought a round
*encountered the drunken guy. Updated hypothesis above.

Maybe ridiculously bad luck, but I'm having no luck finding him.
DAY 1

Bought him a drink x1

DAY 2

Some potentially interesting findings:

I was in the Happy Hour, fighting as much as possible, and noticed a pattern - I spent about 15-20 energy fighting opponents, and then people started buying rounds for me, and then a couple turns after that, the drunk third eye encounter shows up. I fight the drunk guy, and people stop buying rounds. I fight another 15-20 times and people start buying rounds again, and the drunk guy shows up right after.

I do this 6 more times and every time - when I kill the third eye ganger, my favour with the bar drops. Wait 15-20 turns, I start getting drinks. The ganger only shows up again after someone bought me a round.

Here's a fight log (though doesn't show when I got rounds)

I fought 7 third eye gangers, while fighting ~30 of each of the other opponents. I wonder if getting the A Round For My Friends! encounter unlocks the drunk third eye?

(More data for this encounter is on the main Happy Hour page).

Collecting more data. To summarize:

5 killing poseurs is enough (4 is not enough).
2 rounds is enough.
1 round + 2 killing posers is enough.
14 individual drinks was enough (but may require fewer). Probably at least 10.

Killing the drunk third eye resets the friendliness counter back to zero.
Walking away from this encounter maintains friendly relations.

Running from poseur fights does nothing.
Round for all my friends noncombat does nothing.

More to come. SEE THIRD EYE POINTS

I mostly use this encounter to make the Slick Third Eye stop eating my energy by giving me 'free' drinks. If you've already joined the third eye (thereby stopping this encounter from ever showing up again) it's incredibly annoying to stop him giving you drinks.
