How much of this page is still relevant? The use messages are old and I don't know if this still gives no pain. What I've observed:

Multi used 5, already used 10 previously:

You slather yourself with OmniTech trauma bandages. You get a little lightheaded from all the painkillers after a while, but it does seem to be helping. Either that or you don't care anymore. It can be hard to say sometimes.

Your body's pretty beaten up. There's only so much medicine can do without a good rest.

Used one, after using 15 previously:

You apply the trauma bandage. Along with your natural healing, it seems to work pretty well.

You regain 2 hit points!

Looks like the base rate is 10-15, and each further use is reduced by 90% of the average of the previous amount. So n'th use is ((10 to 15) x .9^n).

That doesn't fit. With * (0.9^n) you would have … a lower bound of 9 right on the second use, in direct contradiction with observed lower bound of 8.

Even if you accept different rounding for the bounds, you will have no exponent G that fits the observed data.

[floor(x) <= round(x) <= ceil(x) ]
because of the observed 6 for N==2, you need floor(10 x (G^2))<=6 (or 10 x (G^2)<7)
because of the observed 5 for N==9, you need ceil(15 x (G^9))>=5 (or 15 x (G^9)>4)

So you have G < (7/10)^(1/2) and G > (4/15)^(1/9),
i.e. (7/10)^(1/2) > (4/15)^(1/9) // ^18
(7/10)^9 > (4/15)^2 // roughly
0.04 > 0.07 // contradiction, model is faulty

Something else is going on.

Ah good point. I was mostly just trying to find a formula to match the averages, not the max/min values. link To think on.

The page says that you can get energy of No Pain from using a bunch of these. I can't reproduce. Even using a ton with full health:

EDIT: Just now noticed man mobile's post from 2009, which implies that they were revamped at some point a long time ago. I'm going to assume that the No Pain interaction was removed.

Following up on my post, uh, 1496 days ago, I've still never received No Pain from OTTBs; going to remove that line from the wiki for real this time.
