Doesn't look like there's any obvious interaction with this, or the lower level effects. And if there was a hidden power level boost, it got lost in RNG swing on my attempts.

So, if you overload yourself when having this effect active, any further Phoenix food for the day will continue to result in:

The inside of your mouth has gone numb and your digestive tract has finally given up under the assault of spice.

It also counts if you haven't actually eaten any food previously that day, but just have the effect left over from the previous day.
