Looks like you can't try to pry at the door with a crowbar weapon or do anything to it with salvaging tools. Showing up in a full heavy containment suit didn't do anything for me, either, but I didn't try begging with it on, just hammered on the door with a sledge.

Begging 8 times in a day; as low as 5/35 HP; with/wtihout slags poisoning, no matter how white my shorts were, did not give any different result.

Confirmed that the "The world seems clearer, bereft of the cloud of dust lingering at its edges." does not remove energy of any clipboard effect. (I happened to get this with 20 Flaming Encouragement and 19 Disaster on the Horizon).
Am going to see if anything special happens if I keep these effects over rollover (unlikely I think).
Nothing special for Bum Outfit, Construction Worker, Midgard Security, Ratty outfit, or complete naked other than clipboard for begging.
Also nothing special for wandering off while whiskey drunk (also OJ charge through all of this).
Any result that ends with things fading away or going dark seems to end stuff for the day. Learning the technique doesn't seem to be more survivable than getting XP.
Nothing special for abandoning it with Stellar Appreciation either.
Nothing special for abandoning it with Dust of Time in my deck, with orbital watch.
