Are we sure that "burrow into garbage" protects against ranged attacks? I just fought two of these guys and killed both of them in a round where they both chose "burrow into garbage" and the only technique I used was "Rain of Bullets". Maybe it's different because it affects multiple opponents?

These guys have special moves if you fight one from disconnecting cables from the Empty Stage:

+ show block

You dive for cover.
The trash heap leaps into you for 1 damage, but you duck behind cover, which absorbs all of the damage.

You punch the trash heap, throwing the whole weight of your body behind it and dealing 26 damage.

You drop any pretense of civility and suddenly club the trash heap for 35 damage.

You latch onto the trash heap and tear a chunk out of it with your teeth, dealing 35 damage.

A cable from the thing's "chest" lashes at you for 6 damage.

Another fight:

You latch onto the trash heap and tear a chunk out of it with your teeth, dealing 25 damage.
The trash heap punches you for 1 damage.

You hammer the trash heap unrelentingly, dealing 22 damage.

A little jolt of green energy leaps from the thing to shock you for 5 damage.

Oh, yeah, I've got
4 Melee Defense
2 Etheric Defense

I've also gotten capacitor array, frayed cable, microcapacitor, and lead pipe from this encounter, which I don't think are normal drops.

I noticed this before with ghoultouched, but it seems to work with all possessive forms:

You fire a rocket at the trash heap. It punches through the heap's defenses, exploding for 21 damage.
