According to Al's logger DB there are five of those black stone walls. The Dry Riverbed encounter didn't show up anymore after I destroyed the last one. It was a pretty common encounter before that happened, I walked away from it most of the time.
Arkaim suggests that you have to spend a certain number of turns (statistically insignificant anecdata: ~8) in the Charnel House (Reopened) before this encounter will appear. (You probably also have to have found out about A Lake Covered by Mists, either from the Guard in the Mists or the Fae in the Fog.) So it's very likely counter-productive to do what I did last run and think "Well, since I'm going to get beaten up a lot in this zone, I might as well rest in my apartment in Southside and work on getting Programmed Terror while I'm looking for black stone walls to destroy."

Random thought- why can't we use plain old Nitro on it? Dynamite is weaker than nitro, and it works just fine destroying the wall.
Oh yeah, and hammering the wall down has a strength requirement, because with 17 melee power and 11 strength, that did nothing.

I know this question has been asked before, but I forget if it was on a podcast or in some other context. In any case, IIRC the answer was that nitro is not designed for stationary demolitions work.
