I think I had 22 or 23 energy of the effect left when I got beaten up, received the XP and lost the effect.

Perception: 98 (105)
Reflexes: 47 (45)
Strength: 45
Will: 99 (94)
On my second attempt my stats were:
Perception: 98 (101)
Reflexes: 47 (49)
Strength: 45 (38)
Will: 99 (98)
So looks like no go on lowest stat changing the message.
On both attempts I had the mysterious puzzle box equipped. Maybe the box form determines the message. If so, on my next attempt I'll try holding a different from of the box.

One last thing to look into, and I can close the books on this.
With mysterious tablet equipped, no other chance of _ XP and no techniques used. (Also note I do not have Secrets of the Cube, while Arkaim does.)

I don't think any of you can possibly imagine how difficult it was for me to make this happen today. All the set-backs that occurred. To think that a simple limited edition idoru doll would have saved so much body and old coins and hunger and energy.
Anyway, this seems pretty thorough. Looks like you do need a puzzle form equipped. Which brings up questions about the other blood buffs.
