Striking up a conversation doesn't work with ocean eyes/sight/song active. Not sure if I have to prove myself to their royalty, have the fish king's crown, or what.

Having Ocean Sight, Ocean's Touch, Marine Cunning, and Fish Empathy is not enough to have this thing respond to you in conversation.

Have you tried giving a black pearl to the fish in lake metroplex north to learn their speech?

It doesn't. He will just be willing to talk to you enough to get some points across (like "this is how much will it cost you"). I don't think it helped with this encounter when I was oceanic.

I am suspecting you need the Ocean Song effect active in order to get this encounter.

25 stealth power, -2 ranged power: fail

Didn't think it would be that easy, with the message about it knowing what I was thinking.

add Steady Hand:
27 stealth power: fail
19 ranged power: fail

Gotta think of some way to shield my mind. A helmet seems too literal. Some effect I can't think of?
