Interesting little interaction

Just noticed this fighting Dr. Mira:

You dive for cover.
Doctor Mira sprays a noxious mist at your face, but your air is safely filtered.

You flip a blade out of your strange bracer, suddenly stabbing Doctor Mira for 16 damage.
Doctor Mira hurls a vial of Nitro at you. It ignites the gas surrounding you, exploding even more violently and dealing 19 damage.

I wonder if that would work with the Gas Grenade Technique, and if it does if other fire techniques would also benefit. Gas grenade is chain 4 and Nitro is chain 6, though, so we wouldn't be able to use them back-to-back.
