I'm getting this version of the message, even at 40/40 hunger. Anyone know how to trigger the "channel your hunger and pain" message?

You channel all your pain and anger into a strike at the thug, dealing 20 damage.

Arkaim suggests it's ghoultouched perhaps?

Also - Using this against the Pain Gremlin seems to make it change form immediately. instead of waiting the ~6 rounds it normally takes.

Also - it has reactive defense.

I don't think the condition for "all your pain and anger" is 50% hp … at least for characters with tons of HP. I was missing only ~60 hp, way less than 50%.
