The area seems to be divided into five or six areas, and this encounter advances you to the next area. It seems only certain encounters show up in some of the areas. Also, there are some cool etheric encounters here that need spading.

first time I got this was 'not far from the filthy water' - this is just one of the several encounters that let you progress

I got this message from this encounter. Different from what you guys got because I decided to follow the faerie in and killed exactly 5 gang enforcers and 2 dockside gangers. I then went back and entered the Sewer Hideout by doing that collecting Fang Debts miniquest until they just let me in. Here's the exact text I got.

You walk confidently among the Fangs. Nobody seems interesting in bothering you, so you easily make your way deeper into their camp.

You're towards the edge of the cave, in an area faintly illuminated by the Fangs' jury-rigged lights. It's pretty abandoned. Most of the guards this far out must be dead.

It's going to be a pain to document information on this page.

Oh look, a different text then what is documented on this Deeper Into the Camp page. The above is still true as I am still in the same run.

You walk confidently among the Fangs. Nobody seems interesting in bothering you, so you easily make your way deeper into their camp.

You're at the edge of the Fangs' ramshackle buildings. There are some guards, but they're sparse enough you might be able to just slip by.

Edit: Even more text that conflicts a bit with what is documented on the wiki. This time, though, I have killed another 2 gang enforcers for a total of 7. And, I have also slipped Eclipse into coffee once.

You're walking among the Fangs' buildings now, not far from a filthy body of water that must connect with Lake Metroplex. There are some guards, but they're sparse enough you might be able to just slip by.

Since last time, I've killed another set of 2 gang enforcers. This makes for a total of 9 gang enforcers and 11 fang members in all.
It seems that at this kill count, the fangs cap out at "out in force." Very interesting…

You're near the center of the Fangs' settlement, nestled against a foul body of water. The Fangs are definitely out in force here.
