Alright, I'm having difficulties getting these from the crazy hermit. I got one when I killed him the first time, then nothing when I killed him the second. Then I used the shard and was able to get another one from the hermit on the next fight. I used that and ~ten fights later, still no shard drops. Has anyone been able to get more than two shards?

I finished the Vine climbing twice, and got myself a total of 4 shards, could be more if i had patince to go trough it a few more times

Some of that wasn't working properly. I wouldn't trust that result unless it's respaded.

So Kinak on the podcast said there's something you can get from the Antique Floor Mirror TODAY. That under the right mindset the shards will do something. So I took every Antique Floor Mirror related effect. The big ones I got were eating reflections and flowers, light and dark though I got all the others besides serpent line. I then went through the empty shard menu and made each mislit item. I then tried to craft the shining mirror shard to any of the armory stuff I have to see if suddenly one becomes craftable. Or if a new recipe pops up if I craft the postapocalyptic spear kinda like how the tracer goggles work. Nothing. Not even when I did this in the Slags. Not even when I did this in the mirror.
I went to see if my shards Kinak meant the shards you get from the minigames. So under the all those effects I got the 3 empty shard result from the vine climbing minigame. Nothing. I made a reflected mask pop out. Nothing. I did every action in the mirror besides the ones where you talk to the hag though I did ask about the tower and give her a mask. Nothing.
I went back and got soul in the sword and ate a mirror roll because the mirror roll mentions souls. Nothing. I went and made all the mislit items again with soul in the sword active. Nothing. SO. This puzzle is a bit more clever than all of this.
Edit: Yes I was etheric. Yes I crafted the mislit items with the mirror handled pistol equipped, ruby apple, interlocked scales, and mirror heart vest. Of course the mislit sword too when I got around to that. You're free to try a different combination of mirror equippables.
My first impression of that hint was that, under the right mindset, you can do something different with giving the shards to the mirror. — which still could be anything. Eg. if you toss an apple in the pool while under some special effect, you get a different result.
Hmm. I've been doing most of the cauldron stuff with eating reflections active though it wasn't something I was specifically keeping track of. There's really not a whole lot of places to through shards around in the autumn besides the cauldron.

Which type of etheric?
Wide open? Burning vision? Muffled sight? Dream state? Altered state? Crushed perceptions? Focused perception? (studious?? OJ??)
This will be like the nightmarish/glittering artistry again, won't it? Are there any 1-duration effects with unknown effects?
