I think this effect cancels out any active Fire in Your Belly and vice-versa.

I'm not getting any bonus with the cultured pearl equipped; seems you need to be underwater and/or etheric to get it. Can anyone confirm?

Ark says he was getting it with both.

EDIT: In the lake, with Fae Sight, I'm still not getting it, nor with Slags Poisoning.

I am also not getting any bonus XP with this. I went underwater to get some lethal resolve and instead it looks like fae eyes are more and more bad (for aftercore).
This was two days, two uses of black liquor (so 40 energy of cold depths), with cultured pearl equipped, burning vision from something (probably yesterday's sparkling inks, when I tried to get lakebed grapple and got bupkis), fae sight, slags poisoning, most of the energy spent winning fights.
First 20 energy (yesterday) was with stealth deck and meyer's sampler (no diving ability).
Second (today) with combined stealth+melee (and I tried to aim for will-based techniques) and 4 diving (shark+shark+aquatic-jumpjet) *and* icy demeanor.
All underwater, some of it north, some south.

And now the game won't even load my "current modifiers" sidepage …

80 more energy in the south, with sampler this time (only 2 or less diving), tried high stealth power towards the end … nothing.

Well, at least I got some octopus ink.

Well, the message for +XP is (emphasis added)

The chill in the water takes you back to a calm place in the primordial depths where all was black and cold and right.

So it may well require Ocean Sight. So maybe look for a Fae Sight-only bonus to some of the mushroom-based effects?

I'm getting +4 Ranged Power from an unknown source - might be from the cold Depths? Unless I'm just forgetting something. Anyone see what I'm missing?
