If you already have numbing chill you gain more energy of it when you try to burn it down. Also the message is slightly different. Haven't had any success when trying to burn it down, have tried equiping a mislit torch, gear with reflection of the path before you with grave perspective, having lots of fire power (10), and having lots of fire techniques (and various combinations of these things). Any suggestions are welcome.

Thought I'd take a different tack and try to block the snow the tree dumps on you. The gauzy parasol was insufficient… where's a titanium assault umbrella when you need one?

No success in trying to be really good at emulating the tree by standing naked except for wreath of laurels and giant gnarled branch. :)

Also, it seems you need to try to climb the tree, as well as shake the snow, before you have the option to make a ramp.
