If anyone hasn't fought these guys yet, a warning:

• Fighting the girl seems to be a one-shot chance - if you lose or run away you don't seem to be able to get this encounter agian. (The guy will show up and attack later though). Also, you won't be able to talk to them again if you attack.

So if anyone hasn't fought them yet, buff up you etheric defense a bunch and good luck!

If you monitor the monitors at the security console, you unlock one fight sith just the girl.

You watched the monitors (once?) and there's a new option on this encounter? Or does it change the result of jumping them? Not sure what you're saying.

I've watched the monitors several times and have not fought any wimminfolk. Also haven't jumped the ghosts, though.

EDIT: was clarified in chat - you need to watch the monitors with +stealth power for a chance to glimpse the girl

I have never managed to have this encounter, just the combat with the ghost where he says something about cleaning up. Is it possible that having vile camoflauge or something could prevent this encounter?

I have also never gotten this encounter. Even without vile camouflage I only get the ghost saying he needs to clean up. Possibly some vigilante quest trigger?

I haven't made any significant progress toward the vigilante quest (killed a few opponents, but no audio chip) this run but I still got that encounter.

Strange. Can't think of a likely reason, but I guess it's worth asking if you've checked the monitors?

Time to compare full lists of effects, powers, skills?
Suspects include: etheric power/defense, fae/fish sided, +-encounter frequencies, ghost ship skills, high stats, remaining HP (absolute and %), owning enough watches, having read the scary storybook story about them

New encounter theory: You only get this if you have seen the girl in the monitors on a prior occasion (including a previous day) and are NOT wearing the shining glasses.

Back on my stealth run, when they were pretty much duct-taped to my face, I never got this encounter.
