Raz says he can't encounter spiders and gets this encounter instead every time. Kinak told him this is not a fluke. Raz is not sure what the trigger is.

Thinking about unlock conditions for this encounter

There's an old log from Wyrd where he unlocks this encounter. From looking at it, my best guess is that you have to defeat the Horrific Spider first, then fight the spider drone while non-Etheric. Argeth says it's possible to permanently remove the Spider Drone encounter from the Midgard Warehouse. Maybe there's a similar mechanism at work there to this one, however it winds up working.

Removing the Spider Drone encounter from the Warehouse isn't exactly hard to do. You just destroy it/kill it while Etheric and that's it, no more Spider Drone in the Warehouse.

That did not work for me. I killed it while Etheric, then got the Spider Drone choice encounter later. And after I killed it from that encounter I got the encounter again, which makes my theory above shakier.

Weird, I've never seen it after killing it before, but now here it is. Maybe killing it makes it go away for a while, I don't know.
