It occurred after providing enough explosives to start seeing the Figure in Flames and then proceeding to adventure in the Quad without the punk disguise active.

Since the wiki won't allow a brand new user to post links add the following image to the standard image link:

The Quad seems strangely quiet as you wander across its grassy surface. A moment later, you realize why it's so abandoned as two men in the age-old uniform of punks rush towards you, their voices blending into one incoherent battlecry.

Even compared to his companion, the punk on the right seems absolutely crazed. The manic cast of his eyes makes it almost painful to meet his gaze, but when you do he shouts "Blind the Eye! Burn it all!"

Judging by the Molotov cocktail apparently "it all" starts with you.
Encounter consisted of one punk student and one bomber punk.

The bomber only got one attack in so I don't have too much for those details:
The radical throws a Molotov cocktail onto you. You burst into flames, taking 22 damage.

It seems odd to me that so far it looks like you have to provide the punks with explosives to make progress in the quest, so I'm going to try and look for an alternative path. I tried joining the Third Eye, but even after asking the Conspiring Punk why (and thus finding out a little about his plans) Hawk has no punk-related mission or information for me. I hope I don't need to have gotten Third Eye Technique or something. Watson Jr. doesn't have any punk-related information on offer, at least not if you just ask without beating him at chess.

For want of better ideas, maybe I will "Lash out" at the Conspiring Punk a whole bunch of times. Maybe if I do it enough they'll send the Figure in Flames at me or something to stop me from making trouble.

I don't think insulting the punks unlocks anything. I did it many times today before switching to beating them up, and it still took quite a few fights to unlock the "trying to start something" message.

Only needed to fight off the Insulting Punk 7 times before the Conspiring Punk showed up. (x2)
