I didn't need to block at least six damage with shield block with the shield of scales equipped to get sudden bash. In fact, I only blocked 2. Maybe me being etheric was what made it so easy?

Hmmmm… maybe there was something in these pants that could have helped there. You never know.

From a bit of fighting in slags gate with 3 stealth power

+ show block

You jab the guard suddenly with your shield for 3-5 damage. // looks like base power 4 to me
You wait for the perfect moment to reverse, striking the guard with your shield for 5-10 damage. // looks like base power 6
You reverse suddenly, striking the guard with your shield for 3-4 damage. // these two look …
You reverse suddenly, striking the turret with your shield for 10-10 damage. // … like base power 4 again

And with shock shield:

You jab the guard suddenly with your sparking shield for 7-13 damage.

Looks like power 8.

(midgard blastshield did 3 damage, which is just the normal shield's power 4)

Triggered the learning of Sudden Bash through an attack that did only 1 damage just now. First time that happened. I guess the chance of learning increases the more damage that is blocked?

You lay into the woman for 33 damage.
The woman utters strange sounds that become shadowy ribbons, tearing from her mouth into you for 12 damage.

You raise your scaled shield to block.
The woman latches onto you and tears a chunk out of you with her teeth, dealing 1 damage, but your shield absorbs all of the damage. It chimes like a struck bell.

You viciously slash the woman for 27 damage.
The woman sinks her teeth into you hungrily for 2 damage.

You latch onto the woman and tear a chunk out of her with your teeth, dealing 32 damage.

Nothing special for equipping old scalpel in offhand, and then "jabbing someone with your offhand".
