I'm not even going to bother describing how huge the urge was to keep this secret, and win the Survivor's Quest resetting competition by virtue of having more unique skills than everybody else. I swear, life must be fucking with me.

I'm not that kind of person anymore, though. So here you go.

My path to getting the skill:
Twisted Cell Culture - lose, try again then win
Warring Samples - win
Ghoul Cell Culture - win
Tendril Culture - win
Shivering Cell Culture - win
Spider Cell Culture - win, gain skill

It's odd, the text implies that we have to lose to all of them.

I won to all of them but the twisting cell culture, which I did not fight, and I got the skill.

Maybe something else has to be in play to prevent being overrun. Having a tome of binding equipped to try and bind the nightmares might be worth a shot. There could also be some interaction with Dreamslayer possibly.

I messaged Kinak about the weirdness with the description implying that you lose to the nightmares but getting the skill even if you beat them all. I just got a message saying:

P.S. Not retroactively fixed

So there may be a different skill for winning all the fights now.
