I just ate one of these with Fae Sight active and still got the "That's not even remotely palatable. You spend as much time retching as eating." message. Maybe you have to be in the Sewers not to get it? Or have Fae Blessing active?

EDIT: At some oily sushi on the Third Floor (i.e. nowhere near the Sewers) with Fae Blessing active and got blessed instead of retching. That seems to be the trigger. I'll have to try without Fae Sight to make sure, though.

EDIT MORE: I get Blessed and don't retch even without Fae Sight active, as long as I have Fae Blessing. This might only work if you have the Fae Eyes skill; I can't check that right now.

EDIT SEVERAL YEARS LATER: Eating one in the Dockside Sewers with Focused Perception and Panicked Introspection (both sunless effects) in addition to Fae Blessing and Fae Sight does nothing special.
