Some quick testing with Rain of Bullets:
- Damage done is equal to to the average of the opponents defense stats. For example when fighting a slags guard (4 RD) and 2 wall turrets (2 RD), it does damage equivalent to fighting an opponent with 3 RD. If you kill some opponents during the fight, the average is recalculated. Not sure how it calculates the average: 1 slags guard + 3 or 4 turrets still has 3 Ranged Defense.
- Opponent's evasion does not apply at all if you are using AoE techniques and are fighting two or more opponents. It does apply if you are you are only fighting one opponent (or if all the other opponents in the fight are dead).
Compare:
You rain bullets down on your enemies for 3 damage.
The turret withdraws behind its protective shielding.
The turret flips to full auto and pumps rounds into you until the clip runs out. You take 2 damage.
to:
You rain bullets down on the turret dealing 3 damage, but the turret's barrier absorbs all of the damage.
The turret withdraws behind its protective shielding.
In the first case, the 3 damage is dealt to both opponents, even though it should have been blocked.
One more mystery down! Thanks for updating that page Mag, and sorry if I took your spading idea. :/
