I can confirm that Lethal Resolve gets a base damage boost when used underwater

You wait patiently in the shadowy depths until the moment presents itself to drag the writhing mass into the darkness, dealing 32 damage.

You wait patiently in the shadowy depths until the moment presents itself to drag the writhing mass into the darkness, dealing 31 damage.

That's with only 5 Stealth Power against the writhing mass's 2 Stealth Defense.

I got this earlier today against a deep hunter (underwater + cold depths):

You concentrate on the hunter, waiting for the perfect moment as icy shadows gather close. Eventually, they come and you lash out for 22 damage.

But now I'm getting the normal message for cold depths (underwater):

Icy shadows gather close as you wait, eventually lashing out at the hunter for 16 damage.

I don't know what I did to change it.

This defends against channel inspiration in both ranged and etheric form, even when gem break does not defend against the etheric form. Could we test this defending against none type attacks as a separate category?

Does gem break defend against etheric channel inspiration only (and only) when you are etheric yourself?
As the conditions are written up on the wiki at this moment, a sober gem break would fail to choose the useful form because the opposing tech is not etheric (it only deals etheric damage after technique forms are chosen), but lethal resolve's condition is "cold depths", which is just true.

But, yes. Easiest to test would be … gas grenade?

With the following:
12 Etheric Power
2 Evasion Power
10 Melee Power
2 Ranged Power
-5 Stealth Power

You concentrate on the king, waiting for the perfect moment as icy shadows gather close. Eventually, they come and you lash out for 11 damage.
The king locks his gaze on you and deals 32 damage by twisting you to match his decaying vision, but the icy shadows block all but 25 damage.

Blocked 7 damage

FYI — learining this technique was giving an error message for a while (now fixed) when adventuring with Cold Depths and negative Stealth Power — which probably indicates that stealth power somehow plays into the equation. The error was something along the lines of MIN(0, SP).
